Apple iPad in India in April, Apple iPad prices in India for WiFi 3G touchscreen tablet | DWS Tech.
Alright so finally some news coming in that iPad is going to hit Indian markets soon. I am an apple fan since I first bought a macbook and sure admit that the apple machines, sure excel when it comes to User Interface. I love the interfaces on almost all their devices including the iPod even when they started with the Click Wheel interface and the touch iPod is even better.
Im sure it will be great experience to have an iPad but Im not sure if the price that they are planning for this device is something I will be happy to pay for this device. Especially because I have an 7″ Tablet which can run Windows or Linux as per my preference and has a nice 1024X600 resolution with 4 hours of battery life which I really don’t think I ever drained out completely. This tablet has all sorts of extensions possible so I can use my Photon on that which Im not sure will work with iPad which is WiFi and 3G.
Also the iPad does not have a keyboard which can be required sometimes so I feel that I can do only those things on an iPad which I can do with my phone (Samsung Galaxy I7500 with Android Cupcake) that is check emails, read PDF eBooks, manage contacts, calendar etc. Infact the calendar, contacts and email I believe will be far better on Android since that synchronizes seamlessly with my Google Mail account.
The only reason I can buy this gadget is to flaunt that I have this cool gadget but the price is a little on higher side for flaunting (though I totally understand that higher the price, higher the pride).

I’m a recent Omnia (910) user on Verizon who was quite disappointed with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Samsung’s shell. Wound up purchasing SPB Mobile Shell to acquire a usable interface and had to abandon Exchange email because of security restrictions. Fundamentally anytime you tried to spot or acquire a call, you needed to enter your PIN and I was missing calls as being a result. As a final point made a decision to abandon smartphones to the time getting (economic factors) and wait for a fantastic Android unit. The Galaxy S (Facinate) need to fit the bill. Disappointed to hear on the GPS concerns. Let me add that Verizon’s 3G support was exceptional through and I ultimately stopped applying WiFi mainly because V3G was plenty rapid enough for me.Interestingly, I’m applying the Omnia like a wireless system around the house for checking email, Twitter, Facebook and straightforward browsing. But not as a mobile phone!
